-5- the Council there is a slight problem for drivers on the bridge now ® and a squad car had to be positioned at the foot of the bridge while the surface was . sanded recently. There has been no response from Advisory Committee to the Health Board members to inquiries from staff as to their interest in serv- ing on the East Side Hennepin Human Services Council which is being organized in January , according to Mr. Childs , although Roscella Connelly .who represented the City in the organization process has consented to serve. Because of his administrative experience with the welfare department, Planning Commission member, Iry Peterson will be contacted to serve as the second representative from the City on the council. Motion by- Councilman Marks and seconded .by Councilman Ranallo to appoint Roscella .Connelly, 3200. Rankin Road, to serve for a two year term on the East Side .Hennepin County Human Services Council and Irving Peterson, 2900 Crestview- Drive, as the City 's representative to the council for one year, subject to his acceptance of the appointment. Motion carried unanimously . Motion by Councilman Ranallo .and seconded by Councilman Marks to schedule the first Council meeting in January to be held Tuesday, January 5 , 1982 instead of January 12th so the necessary commission appointments may be made and a work session conducted in preparation for the meetings to be held in January .and- February. at which the ' residents will be informed regarding the. proposed street improvements projects . Motion carried unanimously. The formal swearing in of the new Mayor and Council member will be held at this meeting unless an emergency should require the Mayor to take his office earlier.
