Committee were accepted _ as .informational when Alan., Kaeding , <br /> • Chairman of the Committee , indicated- he would defer his comments <br /> until the .hearing.. set for 8 :00 P.M. <br /> The January Liquor Sales Summary will be one of the points of dis- <br /> cussion to be included in the work session with the Liquor Manager <br /> to beheld the last part:- of March, according to .Councilman Ranallo. <br /> This report, as well as the Inflow/Infiltration Analysis. by the Public <br /> Works Director and the Police Chief ' s report on new duty assignments <br /> within his Department, were. then accepted as informational. <br /> Mr. Childs urged attendance at the National Disaster Conference in <br /> ,which he and the Fire Chief will participate , March 5th. <br /> Notes on the staff .meeting held February 17th were: noted . and accepted <br /> as informational. <br /> Mayor Sundland commended Mr. Childs for his success in negotiating a <br /> $16 ,000 rebate .from .the- Metropolitan. Waste Control Commission. He <br /> said he was also happy to learn MWCC officials have agreed to check <br /> their meter readings more closely in the future. <br /> .The Manager said a meeting with Mr.. Gordon Fey of the Minnesota <br /> Department of Transportation had confirmed a 36 foot width. for the <br /> St. An.thony .Boulevard bridge and the. state engineer foresees no <br /> problems with the City using MSA funds. for its share of the re- <br /> construction costs . <br /> • Several changes in .wording .were made during the third reading of <br /> Ordinance 19.82-001 and Chief .Hickerson. answered several questions <br /> related to the automatic -shut-offs for audible alarm systems . <br /> Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Letourneau <br /> to adopt Ordinance 1982-001 with the wording for- Section 450 : 35 Fees <br /> on Page 5 changed to advance the license fee payment date from <br /> March 15th to June lst. and alarm. use rs fee- payment date from <br /> June lst to January 1st. <br /> ORDINANCE 1982-001 <br /> AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO CERTAIN ALARMS; REQUIRING ALARM <br /> USERS TO OBTAIN LICENSES; PROVIDING FOR.. ISSUANCE OF LICENSES <br /> AND REVOCATION THEREOF; PROHIBITING CERTAIN INTERCONNECTIONS - <br /> AND AUTOMATIC DIALING ,PRACT.ICES; AND ALLOCATING EXPENSES <br /> FOR FALSE ALARMS; AMENDING CHAPTER IV OF THE 1973 CODE OF <br /> ORDINANCES BY ADDING A SECTION <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> At 8:02 P.M. , . the Mayor . opened thepublic hearing on- proposals: for <br /> the cable television franchise .for the City which was held pursuant <br /> to Minnesota Cable .
