CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> . COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> May 11, 1982 <br /> Mayor Sundland opened the meeting with the Pledge of .Allegiance at <br /> 7: 30 P.M. <br /> Present for roll call: Marks , Ranallo,. Sundland, Letourneau and <br /> Enrooth. <br /> Also present: Dave Childs, City Manager; William .Soth, City Attorney; <br /> Carol Johnson, Finance Director; Larry. Hamer, Public <br /> Works Director; Don Hickerson, Chief of Police ; and <br /> Dick Moore .and Steve Campbell , Short-Elliott-Hendrickson, <br /> Inc. , Consulting Engineers . ' <br /> The minutes of the Council meeting held April 13th were amended as follows : <br /> Page 2 , para. 1: Substitute".something has to be done" for "his <br /> determination to get the site cleaned up in any <br /> event" . <br /> Motion by Councilman Enrooth .and seconded by Councilman Letourneau <br /> to approve as amended the minutes for the Council meeting held <br /> April 13 , 1982. <br /> • Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Letourneau and seconded by Councilman Marks to <br /> approve as submitted the minutes of the Council work session held <br /> May 4 , 1982 . <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Chief Hickerson indicated he anticipates no problems with the carnival <br /> sponsored by the Apache Merchants Association at Apache Plaza since <br /> security will be provided by both the shopping center management and <br /> the carnival itself. <br /> Motion by Councilman Letourneau and seconded by Councilman Marks to <br /> grant a carnival rides permit to the Apache Merchants Association which <br /> will allow Don' s Amusement Enterprises , Inc—to operate rides at Apache <br /> Plaza from May 25-31,. the license fee , clean updeposit and required <br /> Certificate of Insurance having been submitted for the event. <br /> Motion- carried unanimously. <br /> Paul Olson and Janet Rantala who have just completed training as Police <br /> Reserves , were introduced by Chief Hickerson, who outlined some of the <br /> duties they will be assuming , including organizing the Crime Watch <br /> Program in various City neighborhoods . The Mayor has volunteered to <br /> host meetings for his neighborhood. Councilman Ranallo indicated he <br /> appreciated Reserve Olson ' s presence at -community football games <br /> last fall. <br />
