-4-
As indicated in Mr.. Hamer' s October 25th memorandum, bids had been
taken for reroofing both the Old City Hall and the water treatment
• plant; with the latter to be done this year. Mr. Childs recommended
accepting the low bid from Allweather because the average lives of the
proposed roofs would .be generally equivalent: Councilman Enrooth
concurred because he believes the interest the City would make on the
$3, 000 difference between the Allweather and Milton Johnson bid should
certainly outweigh the benefits of the "insurance .policy received by
the longer warranty" .
Motion by Councilman Enrooth and seconded by Councilman Letourneau
to accept the bid and award the contract for reroofing the water
treatment plant to the Allweather Roofing Company for $6 ,258.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mayor Pro Tem Ranallo and seconded by . Councilman Letourneau
to adopt. the resolution which accepts the Ramsey- County Winter Road
Maintenance Agreement as recommended by the City Manager.
RESOLUTION 82-047
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN RAMSEY COUNTY
AND THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY FOR
WINTER ROAD MAINTENANCE SERVICES
Motion carried unanimously.
• The Finance Director had submitted- the pertinent data on the proposed
interdepartment transfer of funds for the Police Department and
Mr. Childs indicated that, although the Police Department overtime
budget is $5,000 less than in 1981 , he has been unable to make changes
in scheduling (due to contract wording) which he would like for 1982
which leaves the overtime fund approximately $5 ,000 below what is
anticipated by the police Chief would be needed before the end of
the year. The Manager hopes- to rectify- this .situation in the 1983
Union contract.
Motion by Councilman Letourneau and .seconded by Councilman Enrooth
to adopt the resolution which authorizes the transfer of $5 ,675 within
the Police Department budgets to cover .overtime costs the Police Chief
anticipates for the remainder of 1982 .
RESOLUTION 82-048
A RESOLUTION MODIFYING THE 1982 BUDGET
Motion carried unanimously.
Ordinance 1982-007 which would change .certain recreational establish-
ments from permitted to conditionally permitted uses was left on the
table because there could not be the 4 votes for needed passage with.
only three of the Council present.
• Motion by Mayor Pro Tem Ranallo . and seconded by Councilman Letourneau
to approve the.. third reading and adopt the ordinance which limits the
number of amusement devices licenses in the City to 106 .
