CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> January 8, 1985 <br /> The meeting was opened at 7:30 P.M. with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Mayor <br /> Sundland. <br /> Present for roll call : Marks, Ranallo, Sundland, Enrooth, and Makowske. <br /> Also present: David Childs, City Manager; William Soth, City Attorney; Richard <br /> Krier of the Derrick Companies, H.R.A. Consultant; and Brighton <br /> Development Corporation Representatives. <br /> The reference to Councilman Marks in the second paragraph, page 5 of the December 18th <br /> minutes was corrected to "Councilman". <br /> Motion by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Enrooth to approve as cor- <br /> rected the minutes of the Council meeting he'ld December 18, 1984. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Ranallo. and seconded by Councilman Makowske to grant a heating <br /> license to Anderson Mechanical . <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Childs confirmed that the Dorsey & Whitney charge for $245 for legal services <br /> on the Walbon project would be .allocated to the City's H.R.A.. <br /> Motion by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Marks to approve payment of <br /> $315 to Dorsey & Whitney for legal services during November, 1984. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Makowske and seconded by Councilman Enrooth to approve payment <br /> of $35 in annual dues to the League of Minnesota Human Rights Commission. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> The Mayor reported he had been a guest of State Representative John Rose for the <br /> swearing in ceremonies of the Representative and of Representative David Jennings as <br /> Speaker of the House. <br /> Councilman Ranallo announced the Conference of League of Minnesota Cities would be <br /> held in the St. 'Paul Radisson Hotel , June .1-1-14th, and invited the 'Mayor and other <br /> Council members to attend the third planning meeting for the .conference which would <br /> be held January 29th at the Radisson. The agenda packet included a notice from the <br /> LMM that they would also be sponsoring the 1985 LMC/AMM Legislative Action Conference <br /> in the Radisson January 29-30th. The Manager indicated he would be taking reserva- <br /> tions for the latter. <br /> Councilman Marks reported the Minnesota Government Training Service Advisory Committee <br /> • on which h.e serves would be sponsoring a series of training sessions which had been <br /> advertised throughout the state and is indirectly sponsoring the -Management Action <br /> Program to be conducted in April by Joe Burton of.
