-5- <br /> Copies of letters of application for filling the two year terms on the Planning <br /> Commission from Commissioner Bowerman, John Madden and Bob O'Connell had been dis- <br /> tributed. A Council work session to consider these applications and.to receive the <br /> report related to the water contamination issues from Becky Comstock of Dorsey & <br /> Whitney was scheduled to be at 8:00 P.M. , January 14th. . Another session to <br /> plan for a community meeting on planning and goal setting for the City was scheduled <br /> to be held at 7:00 P.M. , January 21st. <br /> Motion by Mayor Sundland and seconded by Councilman Makowske to adopt the resolution <br /> which designates Clarence Ranallo to serve another year as Mayor Pro Tem. <br /> RESOLUTION 85-001' <br /> A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING MAYOR PRO TEM <br /> FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1985 <br /> Voting on the motjon- <br /> Aye: Sundland, Makowske, Marks and Enrooth. <br /> Abstention: Ranallo. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Enrooth to adopt Resolution <br /> 85-002. <br /> • RESOLUTION 85-002 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SIGNATURE OF THE MAYOR, <br /> FINANCE DIRECTOR AND THE CITY MANAGER ON ALL <br /> DRAFTS DRAWN AGAINST DEPOSITS OF THE <br /> CITY OF ST. ANTHONY, MINNESOTA <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Childs indicated he had spoken to the owners of the Northeaster and Focus about <br /> submitting proposals to serve as the City's legal newspaper in 1985 but the Northeaster <br /> indicated they could not guaranty the weekly publication required by state statutes <br /> and the Focus was unable to commit a reporter for Council meetings on a regular basis. <br /> However, he said, they both agreed to. discuss the matter again next January. The <br /> Bulletin proposal was included in the agenda packet. <br /> RESOLUTION 85-003 <br /> A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING LEGAL NEWSPAPER <br /> FOR CALENDAR YEAR 1985 <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Makowske and seconded by Councilman Enrooth to adopt Resolution <br /> 85-004. <br /> RESOLUTION 85-004 <br /> • A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING MARCH 15, 1985 <br /> AS CUT-OFF DATE FOR RECEIVING PETITIONS <br /> FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br />
