(.Lot 5) to tie in with <br /> the Johnson .property at 4008 Fordham Drive N.E. (Lot 4) by subdivision without <br /> platting, ,as described in the notice of the- hearing on'the proposal conducted by <br /> the Planning Commission September 17, 1985; per the request of the owner/occupants <br /> of Lot 5', Dan and- Kay Kramer, finding, as did the Commission, that. there has been <br /> • no opposition to the subdivision expressed- at either the. September 17th Commission <br /> hearing; the September 24th consideration; or to staff prior to either. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Commissioner Bjorklund read the. Commission recommendation that the Council approve <br /> the Final Planned Unit Development Plan for the Walker on Kenzie Senior Housing <br /> project. The Manager reiterated,. as stated in the Commission minutes, that, since <br /> neither the three foot increase_ in roof height or sideyard-encroachment on the <br /> southeast side -of the proposed. building.could be perceived to "change materially <br /> either the intent or . impact of the total building", those variances to the City <br /> ordinance requirements, would have been automatically approved under the P.U.D. <br /> Mr. Childs told the Council he would expect construction on the project to start <br /> sometime in October. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Marks and seconded by Councilmember Makowske to approve the <br /> Final P.U.D. .Plan for the 202 funded, 45 unit, Walker on Kenzie senior housing <br /> project, as presented for Planning Commission and Council consideration, with the <br /> latest revision dated July 31 , 1985, and site survey as of September 4, 1985. <br /> In granting the approval , the Council acknowledges, as did the Planning Commission, <br /> the three changes in the Plan: <br /> 1 . The change from a flat to pitch roof; <br /> • 2. An increase in approximately three feet in building height with the new roof <br /> style; and <br /> 3. Provision of inside access for the building occupants to the rubbish storage <br /> facility. <br />
