CITY OF ST. ANTHONY COUNCIL MINUTES July 8, 1986 The meeting was opened at 7:30 P.M. with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Mayor Sundland. Present for roll call : Marks, Ranallo, Sundland, Enrooth, and Makowske. Also present: David Childs, City Manager. Before he convened the meeting, the Mayor related the adventures he and his seven year old niece, Michelle, had riding in a squad car Sunday evening on their way to meet the buses containing the members of the St. Anthony Band returning from-the Statue of Lj.berty..celebration .on the east-:coast i n which they had participated. Mayor Sundland said their mission had been waylaid when the squad car had to respond to two police calls. The Mayor reported he had eventually caught up with the band via a fire truck and had been able to present a proclamation to Roger Bjorklund, the band conductor. Motion by Councilmember Makowske and seconded by Mayor Sundland to approve the minutes of the Council meeting.held June 24, 1986 with the following changes: Page 3, para. 5: Correct the spelling of "now" in line 3. • Page 9, para. 2: Insert "Minneapolis and" before "St. Paul papers" in line 6. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Councilmember Marks and seconded by Councilmember Enrooth to approve the minutes of the Special Council meeting held June 30, 1986 with the following changes: Page 1 , para. 3: Correct the spelling of "chosen" in line 3. Page 1 , para. 4: Substitute "informed" for "indicated" in line 1 . Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Councilmember Marks and seconded by Councilmember Makowske to grant the following licenses, as listed in the July 8, 1986 Council agenda packet: Contractors T & D Construction, Minneapolis Heaver Design & Construction, Inc. , West St. Paul Heating H. Conrad Manufacturing Co. Care Aire Conditioning • Geo. Sedgwick Heating & Air Conditioning Air Flow Systems, Inc. J. K. Heating Company Motion carried unanimously.
