-2- <br /> Motion by Councilmember Ranallo and seconded by Councilmember Enrooth to grant <br /> temporary 3.2 beer permits for the following activities: <br /> • To Carl Medin, 3609 - 37th Avenue N.E. , for a family picnic to be held in Central <br /> Park, Septemb-er.. 14, 1986; <br /> To Yvonne Kleis, 211-3 Dickens Lane, for a Honeywell sof tbal-1 tournament to be held <br /> in Central Park Friday, August 1 , 19.86; <br /> To Rick Lundeen, 3904 Fordham Drive, 'for a family picnic to be held in Central <br /> Park August 3, 1986; <br /> To Terri Clarkin, Activity Chairman for the Church of St. Charles Borromeo's annual <br /> steak fry to be held on the church parking lot, September 5, 1986. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: Ranallo, Enrooth, Sundland, and Makowske. <br /> Abstention: Marks. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Makowske and seconded by Councilmember Enrooth, as a point <br /> of clarification that "hard liquors" would not be covered by the issuance of temporary <br /> 3.2 beer permits by the City, to eliminate the words "of liquors, including. . ." <br /> from the application for such permits . <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> In relation to the Briggs & Morgan billing in the verified claims for the services <br /> they had rendered in connection with the City's suit against the U.S . Army et al , <br /> the Manager told Councilmember Ranallo the attorneys had estimated the City had <br /> incurred $6,022 in legal costs through May 31, 1986 related to the water contamination <br /> litigation. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Ranallo and seconded by Councilmember Marks to approve <br /> payment of the following claims as listed in the July 8, 1986 Council agenda packet: <br /> $25,108.11 to the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission for June sewer service: <br /> charges; <br /> $1 ,825 to the Edward J. Hance firm for prosecution services from May 8 through June 4, <br /> 1986; and <br /> $485 to Briggs and Morgan for legal services in May. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Marks and seconded by Councilmember Enrooth to approve <br /> payment of all verified claims listed for June 30 and July '8, 1986 and submitted <br /> by the City Manager at the July 8th Council meeting. <br /> • Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Mayor Sundland reported members of .the City Police Department had told him that the <br /> recent carnival had caused "nothing but trouble" for them.
