• -5- <br /> Mr. Nelson told Councilmember Ranallo that, although he considered the <br /> restaurant to be important, he was convinced the bar would succeed <br /> without it. <br /> The Council responded by saying: <br /> Makowske -recalled she and Councilmember Marks had thought from the <br /> start that serving food along with alcoholic drinks might <br /> alleviate some of the problems inherent in running a bar. <br /> Sundland -said he wanted assurances that the restaurant concept had <br /> not been entirely eliminated from the project. <br /> Ranallo -told Mr. Nelson it was up to him to get back the customers <br /> the liquor operation had lost to other operations with what- <br /> ever changes he made. Wondered whether the sound system <br /> would accomplish that better than the restaurant. <br /> Mr. Childs said he understood the Council' s direction had been to do the <br /> bar section first and then with a budget of $150,000 plan for the <br /> kitchen and extra seating area in phases with whatever dollars are left <br /> over after the off-sale bids come in or whenever the money becomes <br /> available. <br /> • Council Action <br /> Motion by Marks, seconded by Makowske to award the contract for $31, 331 <br /> to Entertechn for audio, lighting fixtures and the video system for the <br /> Stonehouse renovation project, per the specifications. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> LICENSES/PERMITS/PETITIONS <br /> Motion by Marks, seconded by Enrooth to allow the BVM Post of the <br /> Knights of Columbus to conduct a Tootsie Roll fund raiser in St. Anthony <br /> April 24 and 25, 1987 , as proposed by the project chairman, Jim Ardito. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Makowske, seconded by Enrooth to grant the following licenses <br /> as they were listed in the Council' s April 14th agenda packet: <br /> Amusement <br /> St. Anthony Liquor ( 5 ) <br /> Contractors <br /> • Outdoor Development <br /> Action Design Remodelers <br />
