Ms. VanderHeyden assured the Councilmember that staff was working on the report from the Council's special meeting on recycling. 3 Mayor to Address the League of Women Voters, February 23rd 4 Mayor Sundland reported receiving the above invitation the previous 5 evening and said he would be reporting on various City matters like the 6 City's fire insurance rates, etc. at that meeting. 7 Ranallo Announces Candidacy for League of Minnesota Cities Vice 8 President 9 The Councilmember indicated he would be officially announcing his intent 10 to run for the above office during the meeting of the, LMC Board of 11 Directors the following day. 12 Marks Hones to Step Down as Chair of the Youth Service Bureau Board 13 The Councilmember reported that after two years of service, he was 14 hoping to chair his last Board meeting the following Thursday. 15 DEPARTMENT AND COMMITTEE REPORTS 16 The following were ordered filed for future reference after brief 17 discussions of each: 0 *January 20th and February 2nd reports from the Hance and LeVahn law 19 firm reporting cases the City prosecutors had handled for the City in 20 Hennepin County District Court from January 18th through February 1st, 21 1989; 22 *January Fire Department Report; 23 *January Liquor Operations Sales Summary. 24 Fire Chief's Medical Problems Noted 25 Mayor Sundland mentioned that Fire Chief Entner was undergoing intensive 26 testing at Unity Hospital for severe head pain and suggested a get well 27 card from the Council might be appropriate. Ms. VanderHeyden said she 28 would ask the City Manager's Executive Secretary to send a card 29 reflecting the Council's concerns to Mr. Entner.
