Review/Approval of Section 300 for Ordinance Recodification <br /> 5 The City Manager advised that Section 300 has undergone extensive <br /> II changes and language clarification. He noted that VanderHeyden had <br /> p updated this section to be very comprehensive. <br /> 10 Mayor Ranallo requested VanderHeyden highlight the new portion of the <br /> 11 ordinance so it can be compared to the former ordinance language and <br /> 12 bring it back to the City Council for review. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 The City Manager stated that the City Attorney-should have completed <br /> 15 all of the changes by February. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 F. Construction Fund <br /> 17 A memo was received by the Councilmembers from the Public Works Director <br /> 19 stating the balance in the Construction Fund is $400,000. It was noted <br /> 20 that the City can accumulate $300,00 without being penalized. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 It was stated that these funds can be used on two projects. The first <br /> �3 project is at the intersection of 37th Avenue and Stinson Boulevard. <br /> 24 <br /> • 25 <br /> 26 Noting that some of these funds could be lost if they aren' t used soon, <br /> 27 the City- Manager will meet with the Actino Citv Manager of Columbia <br /> 98 Heights regarding the project for signalization of 37th Avenue. He <br /> �9 will advise that financing for a project on 39th Avenue is not in place. <br /> 30 The second project for consideration is at 33rd Avenue and Chandler Drive. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 The City Manager stated that Maier Stewart will be doing some of the pre- <br /> 33 paration work for this area regarding engineering. <br /> 34 <br /> 34 Councilmember Wagner inquired if these funds could be used in the area <br /> 36 of Penrod and Chandler Drive. The City Manager responded that no Minnesota <br /> 37 State Aid funds could be used on this roadway and if there were to be any <br /> 38 work done it would be assessed to benefitting property owners. <br /> 30 The City Manager also advised that there will be no Community Development <br /> 1Block Grant funds coming from Ramsey County andall that has been received <br /> 41 from Hennepin County has been dedicated to the recodification. <br /> �3 <br /> -4 G. Volunteer Commission <br /> • hs; Mayor Ranallo requested City staff to develop a list of projects which <br /> 46 could be done by volunteers so the services of those who have offered <br /> 47 to volunteer can be utilized. <br /> 48 <br /> 4 9 Liability of the City in regard to these volunteers will have to be <br /> 50 reviewed. <br />
