Verified Claims <br /> 24 Motion by Marks , second by Enrooth to approve payment of the verified claims <br /> • 25 for accounts payable dated March 27, 1991 and liquor accounts payable dated <br /> 26 February 28, 1991 and March 20, 1991 . <br /> 27 <br /> 7.8 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 29 <br /> 30 7. REPORTS <br /> 31 <br /> 32 A. Police Chief' s Report <br /> 33 Chief Engstrom attended the meeting to respond to Council and resident <br /> 34 concerns relative to recent burglaries in residential areas of the community. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 The most recent incidents of burglaries were between March 1st and March <br /> 37 7th at which time three daytime burglaries occurred. In referring to one <br /> 38 of these burglaries , Chief Engstrom gave details as to what was done <br /> 39 immediately after the crime was reported. He stated that Crime Lab staff <br /> 40 took fingerprints, noted tire tracks and heel marks, and observed pry <br /> 41 marks at .the point of entry. Although there were no eyewitnesses, some <br /> 42 neighbors mentioned seeing a strange blue van in the vicinity and the <br /> J93 mailman observed suspicious activity. <br /> 44 <br /> bS The Chief said that all information regarding the three burglaries was given <br /> 46 to the Minneapolis Eastside Precinct , to investigation departments in the <br /> 47 area and sent over the teletype. He noted that all of the missing property <br /> 48 was etched with numbers from Operation Identification. He did feel this <br /> 49 property would be quickly disposed of by the burglars. <br /> • 50 <br />
