UNFINISHED BUSINESS 16 17 18 A. Ordinance 1992-002 ; Re : Increase in Water Rates 19 20 Motion ,by Marks , second by Fleming to approve the second 21 reading of Ordinance No. 1992-002 which is an ordinance 22 relating to water rates ; amending Subds . 2 and 3 of 23 Section 550 : 0.0 of .the 1973 Code of Ordinances of the City 24 of St . Anthony . 25 26 Motion carried unanimously 27 _ B. Management at Stone House 30 31 The City Manager advised that Mannings have been trying 32 to find a suitable replacement to take over its 33 operation . He felt the equipment presently in place 34 should be purchased by the City to protect it from being 35 taken out by the mortgager . He and the Liquor Operations 36 Manager have viewed the equipment and felt the matter of 37 purchasing it can be negotiated with the bank . 38 39 Manning has in'-icated a willingness to continue to 40 operate the establishment until January, 1993 . 41 42 Motion by - Marks , second by Fleming to direct the City 43 Manager to purchase the equipment in an amount not 44 exceeding $30 , 000 . 45 46 Motion carried- unanimously 47 48 49 The Mayor inquired as to the condition of the basement in 50 the building. The City Manager responded that the booths 51 have been removed and some refurbishing has been done in 52 ancitipation of making this space available for community meetings . The Mayor requested that the condition of the carpeting also be looked at .
