Howard Knutson, Alwan ' s legal <br /> 7 counsel , responded by letter that he was unable to obtain <br /> 8 a definition of a kiddy ride or game . Accompanying his <br /> 9 letter were advertisements describing certain kiddy <br /> 10 devices but none of the distributors of this equipment <br /> 11 was able to define what constituted a kiddy game or ride . <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Councilmember Marks observed that each of the ads <br /> 14 specified how the equipment was put together and would <br /> 15 appeal to a certain age group. He felt the industry <br /> 16 should have a scheme for use of certain equipment or a <br /> 17 reasonable definition . <br /> 18 <br /> 19 The City Manager responded that he had requested <br /> 20 defninitions from Knutson but was advised that there were <br /> 21 none available . He suggested that he may be able to <br /> 22 obtain this information from some distributors out of <br /> 23 state and would puruse this avenue . <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Mayor Ranallo still felt this operation would become a <br /> 26 hangout for youngsters . He noted that several youths who <br /> 7 were loitering in the shopping center were arrested last <br /> week . <br /> 9 <br /> 30 Councilmember Fleming felt that to have nineteen <br /> 31 amusement devices in the restaurant was an alarming <br /> 32 number . She noted that the four presently on the premises <br /> 33 appear not to be used . <br /> 34 ' <br /> 35 Councilmember Wagner stated his support for strictly <br /> 36 kiddy games and amusement devices . <br /> 37 <br /> 38 The Mayor requested the City Manager to gather additional <br /> 39 information regarding this matter and return it to the <br /> 40 Planning Commission for its consideration . He stated this <br /> 41 issue should not require another public hearing. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 2 . Storm Water Drainance Util.ity <br /> 44 <br /> 45 The City Manager had presented the draft of an ordinance <br /> 46 which addressed storm water drainage utility for the City <br /> 47 Attorney' s review. The City Attorney recommended that it <br /> 48 be reviewed by an engineer . <br /> 49 <br /> 50 Motion by Enrooth, second by Marks to direct the City <br /> 51 Manager to spend up to $500 for a storm water drainage <br /> 52 utility engineering consulting firm. <br /> Motion carried unanimously_ <br />
