REPORTS <br /> 14 <br /> 15 A. Plannina Commission - October 20 , 1992 Meetina <br /> 16 <br /> 17 Commissioner Werenicz attended the Council Meeting <br /> 18 representing the Planning Commission. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 1 . Proposed Rezonina on Kenzie Terrace ( 2905 Kenzie Terrace, <br /> 21 2700 Coolidge Avenue and 2715 Coolidge Avenue) <br /> 22 <br /> 23 The proposed rezoning is to change the Commercial designation <br /> 24 to R-1 . <br /> 25 <br /> 26 Commissioner Werenicz advised there was minimal discussion of <br /> 27 this matter by the Planning Commission . The Task Force <br /> proposals were reviewed and the Planning Commission concurred <br /> with the recommendation to change the zoning from C to R-1 . <br /> 31 The City Manager reviewed the parcels under consideration for <br /> 32 rezoning. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 Councilmember Marks stated he has a potential conflict of <br /> 35 interest in this matter and will abstain from voting or <br /> 36 dicussing it . He left the Council Chambers . <br /> 37 <br /> 38 The City Attorney advised that technically this item should be <br /> 39 in the form of a zoning ordinance amendment . He will draft the <br /> 40 ordinance for publication . He noted that its passage requires <br /> 41 a four/fifths vote of the City Council . He also stated that <br /> 42 the City Council could either hold all of the readings or <br /> 43 waive them. <br /> 44 <br /> 45 The Mayor responded that the Council has a policy of not <br /> 46 waiving the reading of. an ordinance so the public would have <br /> 47 an opportunity for comment . <br /> 48 <br /> 49 The City Attorney suggested that the first reading could be <br /> 50 held at this meeting and would constitute a public hearing. <br /> • <br />
