1 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br /> NOVEMBER 10 , 1992 <br /> PAGE 5 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Report of Councilmember Marks <br /> 7 <br /> 8 Councilmember Marks noted he had a conversation with a <br /> 9 member of the Athletic Sports Boosters regarding the <br /> 10 proposal for upgrading Central Park . There appeared to be <br /> 11 some confusion at what appeared to be a lack of <br /> 12 enthusiasm from the City Council regarding the acceptance <br /> 13 of funds for the proposed park project . <br /> 14 <br /> 15 Report of Councilmember Enrooth <br /> 16 <br /> 17 The last Village Fest meeting was November 9th. The next <br /> 18 meeting will be on January 25th. <br /> 19 <br /> feels the organization is "on <br /> 20 Councilmember Enrooth <br /> 21 track" with its planning and there appear to be many new <br /> 22 people interested in becoming involved. He felt the new <br /> 23 leadership team is bringing new vigor to the celebration . <br /> 24 He noted that the former chairs will not be active in the <br /> 25 1993 committee . <br /> 26 <br /> The meetings will be held on the fourth Monday of each <br /> 4 month to insure that the present Treasurer continued . <br /> 29 <br /> 30 Councilmember Enrooth serves on the Board of Directors <br /> 31 for the Association of Metropolitan Municipalities . He <br /> 32 noted that all of the policies are in place . The AMM put <br /> 33 out a white paper on the Metropolitan Council . He felt <br /> 34 this paper i-n no way contributed to the personnel changes <br /> 35 in that organization . <br /> 36 <br /> 37 Report of Mayor Ranallo <br /> 38 <br /> 39 Prior to the election judge training session, Mayor <br /> 40 Ranallo presented plaques to two election judges who have <br /> 41 served for considerable time. The first judge recognized <br /> 42 had served for thirty years and will be retiring. The <br /> 43 second judge had served for twenty-five years . Coffee and <br /> 44 cake was served. <br /> 45 <br /> 46 On November 30th, the St . Anthony Kiwanis is observing <br /> 47 its thirtieth birthday with an open house. This event is <br /> 48 by invitation only and the Mayor noted all members and <br /> 49 former members will be invited. <br /> 50 <br /> 0 <br />
