Report of Councilmember Enrooth <br /> 7 The Village Fest Committee held a meeting on January 25th and <br /> 8 approximately twenty-five residents attended. Councilmember <br /> 9 Enrooth felt that there appears to be renewed interest in the <br /> 10 Village Fest and it is headed into becoming a viable <br /> 11 organization. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Mayor Ranallo recalled it was anticipated it would take about <br /> 14 five years before this organization became viable. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 Councilmember Fleming felt the leadership of the Village Fest <br /> 17 Committee was outstanding. Bob Foster, Village Fest Co-Chair, <br /> 18 had addressed the involvement of the City in the activities . <br /> 19 <br /> 20 She advised that her husband, herself and the O' Shea' s would <br /> 21 be chairing the Village Fest parade. It is scheduled for July <br /> 22 24th with a starting time of 10 : 30 a.m. and will take place on <br /> 23 Silver Lake Road. She requested that anyone interested in <br /> 24 participating in the parade contact her. <br /> Councilmember Fleming commended the Kiwanis for its faithful <br /> 27 sponsorship of the pancake breakfast . All parade participants <br /> 28 will receive one free ticket for the breakfast and members of <br /> 29 the Village Fest Committee will encourage all to attend. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 The Mayor inquired if the parade is being coordinated with the <br /> 32 Police Chief . It was noted that the November 9th meeting of <br /> 33 the Village Fest Committee was the last meeting the Police <br /> 34 Chief attended but the parade will be coordinated with him. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 5 . Report of Mayor Ranallo <br /> 37 The Mayor advised that the DARE Program is scheduled for <br /> 38 January 27th at 7 : 00 p.m. in the School Auditorium. He will be <br /> 39 making a report on DARE funding. <br /> 40 <br /> 41 A letter has been received from the St . Anthony Chamber of <br /> 42 Commerce requesting nominations for the "Villager of the <br /> 43 Year. " This will be the third annual award. The Mayor noted <br /> 44 that previously the City Council had made no recommendations <br /> 45 for this award. <br /> 46 <br /> 47 Councilmember Wagner had been a recipient of the award but had <br /> 48 been nominated by the Kiwanis Club. <br /> 49 <br />
