REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br /> MAY 11 , 1993 <br /> 3 PAGE 11 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br /> 6 The City Manager met with the Police Chief and the <br /> 7 Finance Director to discuss' the costs which would be <br /> 8 associated with supplying police service to the City of <br /> 9 Lauderdale . <br /> 10 <br /> 11 Lauderdale will not be paying the start up costs which <br /> 12 will include training and fringe benefits for the three <br /> 13 officers who would be hired . <br /> 14 <br /> 15 The City Manager recommended that St . Anthony withdraw <br /> 16 from consideration for the City of Lauderdale police <br /> 17 service . He felt this commitment would impact severally <br /> 18 on the services available to residents of St . Anthony and <br /> 19 the budget could not handle the extra expenses involved . <br /> 20 <br /> 21 There was a consensus among the Councilmembers that this <br /> action should no longer be pursued and to withdraw the <br /> City ' s name from consideration for the contract . <br /> 25 8 . Resolution No. 93-031 - Street Improvements <br /> 32 <br /> 33 Motion by Enrooth, second by Marks to approve Resolution No . <br /> 34 93-031 which is a resolution of the St . Anthony City Council <br /> 5 directing advertising for bids for 37th Avenue and Penrod Lane <br /> 36 concrete street rehabilitation . <br /> 37 <br /> 38 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 39 <br /> 40 10 . UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> 41 <br /> 42 A. Ordinance No . 1993-003 - Delinquent Readings & Payments <br /> 43 <br /> 44 Motion by Wagner, second by Marks to approve the second <br /> 45 reading of Ordinance No. 1993-003 being an ordinance relating . <br /> ' 6 to untimely water meter readings and delinquent water bill <br /> 47 payments ; amending Sections 610 . 09 and 610 . 10 of the 1993 St . <br /> 48 Anthony Code of Ordinances . <br /> 49 <br /> 50 Motion carried unanimously <br /> • <br />
