NEW BUSINESS <br /> 11 <br /> 12 A. Resolution No. 93-041 , Re: Variance from State Road Width <br /> 13 Requirements on 37th Avenue Northeast Street Construction <br /> 14 <br /> 15 Councilmember Wagner inquired if the City has to take the <br /> 16 conditions noted in the variance from the State. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 The City Manager noted these conditions are always included in <br /> 19 these types of agreements but they actually do not hold the <br /> 20 State harmless . <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Motion by Marks , second by Enrooth to adopt Resolution No. 93- <br /> 23 041 being a resolution relating to a variance from the State <br /> 24 of Minnesota for road rehabilitation on 37th Avenue Northeast <br /> 25 between Silver Lake Road and Stinson Boulevard . <br /> 46 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 28 <br /> 29 B. Resolution No . 93-042 , Re : Early Retirement Incentives <br /> 30 <br /> 31 At this point in time, the Mayor felt this resolution would <br /> 32 only affect one City employee. He stated his opposition to the <br /> 33 project as he felt it would indirectly cost the City money. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 The City Manager noted that a majority of other cities are <br /> 36 adopting the incentive but stated that if the fund becomes <br /> 37 underfunded the participating cities could be requested for <br /> 38 additional funding. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 Councilmember Fleming was interested in how neighboring <br /> 41 communities are handling this issue . <br /> 42 <br /> 43 Motion by Fleming, second by Enrooth to table this resolution <br /> 44 for further information from two other communities regarding <br /> 45 their position and that staff return their findings at the <br /> 46 next Council Meeting. <br /> 47 <br /> 48 Roll call : Enrooth, Fleming, Wagner, Ranallo - aye <br /> 49 Marks - nay <br /> 50 Motion passes <br />
