Anthony Fire Relief Association <br /> 17 <br /> 18 Motion by Marks, second by Wagner to approve payment in the <br /> 19 amount of $18 , 371 .00 to the St . Anthony Fire Relief <br /> 20 Association. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 23 <br /> 24 B. W.B. Miller <br /> 25 <br /> 26 Motion by Marks, second by Wagner to. approve payment in the <br /> amount of $123, 523. 00 to W.B. Miller, Inc. for 1993 street and <br /> utility improvements. This is partial payment for the work <br /> 29 completed from August 15th to August 27th. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 The project includes work on Rankin Road, Croft Drive, 31st <br /> 32 Avenue, Coolidge Street/27th Avenue and storm sewer, sanitary <br /> 33 - sewer_ and. watermain improvements . <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Councilmember. Fleming felt it would be appropriate to hear <br /> 36 _ resident concerns at this point. in the meeting regarding the <br /> 37 aforementioned projects. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 The City Manager advised there have been some problems with <br /> 40 grade elevations and timing of the project . He has met with <br /> 41 many of the property owners regarding their concerns and has <br /> 42 been reassured that the contractor will correct any problems. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 Inspectors from Maier Stewart engineering firm have been on- <br /> 45 site every day in which work has been done. The weather has <br /> 46 delayed some of the work. <br /> 47 <br /> 48 Charles Mander, 3012 Croft Drive, explained that one side of <br /> 49 his street is about one foot lower than the other side. He was <br /> 50 advised by the contractor the street would be raised one foot . <br />
