He introduced members of his staff attending the <br /> 11 Council-Meeting. Brimeyer noted that Pam Wunderlich has been <br /> 12 with the firm since its inception and he gave some examples of <br /> 13 her work. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 Using a graph, Brimeyer walked through the selection process . <br /> 16 He noted his formal proposal would be more detailed. The first <br /> 17 activity is to draft a profile of what is desired in a city <br /> 18. manager. <br /> 19 <br /> Individual meetings would be set up with members of the City <br /> Council, members of the School Board, City staff, civic <br /> 22 organizations and community leaders . Items for discussion at <br /> 23 these meetings would include management style desired, <br /> 24 community priorities and future issues to be considered for <br /> 25 the City. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Brimeyer suggested this profile serves both the community and <br /> 28 the candidates . Many potential candidates would recognize <br /> 29 their skill level and management style would not fit the <br /> 30 community and withdraw from consideration. He also noted that <br /> 31 the profile would be a very good tool for resolving <br /> 32 differences between community leaders regarding their <br /> 33 positions on what is desired in a city manager. It has been <br /> 34 found that a profile is a good recruiting tool for attracting <br /> 35 highly quailfied candidates . <br /> 36 <br /> 37 The Brimeyer Group proposal includes negotiating the <br /> 38 compensation package and prepares an evaluation form for the <br /> 39 six month review. <br /> 40 <br /> 41 Councilmember Marks recalled the last few city manager <br /> • <br />
