Makowske felt this would be helpful when <br /> 8 Hennepin County is approached for funds . <br /> 9 <br /> 10 Councilmember Marks requested a copy of the group' s <br /> 11 mission statement . <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Mayor Ranallo inquired if similar presentations will be <br /> 14 given to other community service and civic organizations . <br /> 15 Councilmember Fleming responded this will be considered <br /> 16 after March 3rd. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 The 'Mayor also inquired as to how other people could get <br /> 19 into the group. <br /> 6 Ms . Makowske responded that this has not really been <br /> 22 discussed yet . Councilmember Fleming advised that anyone <br /> 23 who is interested is welcome to call . <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Councilmember Marks recalled a very strong community <br /> 26 organization of about twenty years ago comprised of folks <br /> 27 who lived around Silver Lake . <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Mary Ann Kuharski advised this group will not focus on <br /> 30 problem solving but will concentrate on enhancing the <br /> 31 good aspects of the City and making the community more <br /> 32 welcoming. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 Mayor Ranallo requested the group make its presentation <br /> 35 to the Community Services Commission and to the School <br /> 36 Board regarding its purpose. He would like to hear their <br /> 37 input regarding the group. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 The Mayor' s concern is that it appears the group may be <br /> 40 infringing on some of the tasks the Community Services <br /> 41 Commission should be doing. He also requested the group <br />
