City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> • October 11, 1994 <br /> Page 2 <br /> 1 VI. PRESENTATION OF CLAIMS. <br /> 2 Motion by Wagner, second by Marks to approve the following claims: <br /> 3 A. Dorsey & Whitney in the amount of$2,213.10 for legal services rendered through August <br /> 4 31, 1994. <br /> 5 B. Five pages of Verified Claims as presented by the Finance Director. <br /> 6 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 7 VII. REPORTS. <br /> 8 A. Ma's <br /> 9 Mayor Ranallo reminded everyone of the Tuesday, October 18, meeting with the new Library <br /> 10 Director, Charles Brown at 5:00 P.M. Mr. Brown will be here to meet with City Officials, <br /> 11 members of the School Board, Superintendent Rolek,the High School principal and the principal <br /> 12 of Wilshire Park Elementary School. <br /> 63 Ranallo reported that on Saturday, October 22, at 10:00 A.M. he will be attending a Child Care <br /> 4 Group meeting at Apache Plaza. <br /> 15 He also announced a Town Meeting on the proposed Community Center on October 15 at 9:00 <br /> 16 A.M. From 9:00 to 9:30, there will be coffee, donuts, and an opportunity to visit parts of the <br /> 17 building. At 9:30 A.M., there will be a presentation by the City Council,*the School Board, the <br /> 18 Architects, and the Financial Consultant regarding options relating to the use of the existing <br /> 19 building and/or a new building for the proposed Community Center. <br /> 20 B. Council, <br /> 21 Wagner reported his attendance at a Community Service Advisory Council Meeting. He stated <br /> 22 that the proposed Community Center was an item of discussion. The School Board has been <br /> 23 working on different options, but no decisions have been made. <br /> 24 Fleming commended Larry Hamer for the prompt and efficient work done in the City Parks. <br /> 25 She also reported her attendance of a meeting of the Steering Committee. This program is <br /> 26 working to tie together city, school and church to build assets in youth. She announced that the <br /> 27 next meeting will be Thursday, October 13th at 8:00 A.M. in Room 9. Mayor Ranallo requested <br /> 28 a meeting schedule. <br /> Marks recounted a tour he attended last weekend at the Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant. <br /> 30 Maps of the area were distributed and current clean-up activities of the ammunition expended in <br />
