City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> • April 25, 1995 <br /> Page 9 <br /> 1 Marks commented on a letter he received from Leena Lindquist, Salo Finland. He <br /> 2 indicated there will be a community meeting Sunday afternoon to plan for their upcoming <br /> 3 visit in August. He indicated Mr. Lindqvist had recently received a promotion. <br /> 4 Direction was given to City Manager to draft a letter of congratulations to Mr. Lindqvist. <br /> 5 Enrooth reported city clean-up was scheduled for May 6, 1995 from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 <br /> 6 P.M. and volunteers are still needed. <br /> 7 He reported Villagefest planning was still underway. He indicated Villagefest has <br /> 8 retained a band to play on Saturday night. He reported new officers were elected at the <br /> 9 last meeting. The officers are as follows: Steve Bartz, President; Mike Jacobs, Vice <br /> 10 President; Pat Taylor, Secretary; and Audrey Wagner and Charlie Hockert; Co- <br /> 1 l Treasurers. <br /> 12 D. City Manager. <br /> 13 City Manager Mornson reported there are seven public hearings and eight issues on the <br /> agenda for the next Planning Commission meeting. There will also be a request to <br /> le change the current lot coverage ordinance from 30%to 35%. <br /> 16 Morrison reported there will be a public hearing on the adult use ordinance on May 16, <br /> 17 1995 and the first reading of that ordinance will be May 23, 1995. He indicated the Fire <br /> 18 Department's annual report is complete and is scheduled for the May 9, 1995 agenda. <br /> 19 The Auditors report for the 1994 fiscal year will be presented on May 23, 1995. The <br /> 20 milling for the 1995 street project will commence on Thursday. <br /> 21 Mornson reported he and the City Clerk had met with the school superintendent to <br /> 22 discuss this fall's election because local elections will hereafter be joint with the City and <br /> 23 School District. <br /> 24 VIII. PUBLIC HEARING -None. <br /> 25 IX. NEW BUSINESS <br /> 26 A. Award quotation for the purchase of one wing plow and one reversible plow. <br /> 27 Motion by Enrooth, second by Fleming to accept the quote for purchase of a plow for <br /> 28 33,000 gross vehicle weight from J. Croft for$11,199.28. <br /> 29 Motion carried unanimously. <br />
