Ci1y Manager. <br /> 2 City Manager Mornson reported his attendance at a meeting of the North Suburban Cable <br /> 3 Commission. It was recommended by their attorney that the ten cities involved draft a <br /> 4 telecommunications ordinance. <br /> 5 Mornson reported he had met with the Superintendent of Schools to discuss the fall <br /> 6 election. This will be the first time the school and City will be on the same ballot due to <br /> 7 changes in the Legislature. At a future meeting he will present a resolution for joint <br /> 8 funding of the election and authorizing-the City to run the School Board election. <br /> 9 Mornson reported the City of Falcon Heights would like the Mayor and City Council to <br /> 10 attend an open house it is planning for the new police contract. It will be held on a <br /> 11 Tuesday in September from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. He indicated he will have more specific <br /> 12 information in July. <br /> 13 Mornson indicated there will not be a work session next week as it is the Fourth of July. <br /> 14 The next work session will be August 1, 1995. <br /> aMornson reported there will be a new restaurant manager at the Stonehouse. He indicated <br /> 16 two major changes were taking place, the outside of the building was being painted and <br /> 17 the restaurant will now have Saturday hours for meals. <br /> 18 Ranallo reported he and Mornson had held discussions with First Bank and CUB Food <br /> 19 Stores and CUB was still interested in locating in Apache Plaza. <br /> 20 VIII. PUBLIC HEARING. <br /> 21 Mayor Ranallo opened the public hearing at 7:27 p.m. <br /> 22 A. Resolution 95-041, re: Modification of Redevelopment Plans and Tax Increment <br /> 23 Financing Plans. <br /> 24 Mr. Gilligan, Dorsey & Whitney, explained this was a proposal to modify the existing <br /> 25 redevelopment plan for the City of St. Anthony. This action would pool the various areas <br /> 26 of redevelopment on the master plan and add additional property to the redevelopment <br /> 27 plan. It will permit expenditures to aide the redevelopment. He reported the plan also <br /> 28 will authorize expenditure of the TIF from Chandler Place and Kenzie Terrace. He stated <br /> 29 this modification would authorize but not appropriate funds. He indicated this <br /> 30 modification also included an amendment to Evergreen Townhomes to authorize an <br /> 31 additional $150,000.00 for soil correction and will also authorize use of TIF funds for the <br /> Community Center. <br /> 33 Ranallo stated this was a.method to encourage redevelopment in the City. <br />
