City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> • February 13, 1996 <br /> Page 2 <br /> 1 VI. PRESENTATION OF CLAIMS. <br /> 2 Motion by Wagner to approve all claims included on agenda A-E. <br /> 3 The motion died for lack of a second. <br /> 4 Motion by Ranallo, second by Marks to approve the following claims: <br /> 5 A. Suburban Collision and Paint Center in the amount of$7,543.76 for repair to a squad car. <br /> 6 B. Dorsey & Whitney in the amount of$1,667.60 for legal services rendered through <br /> 7 December 31, 1995. <br /> 8 C. Foster, Ojile, Wentzell & Brever in the amount of$2,400.00 for legal services for the <br /> 9 month of February 1996. <br /> 10 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 11 Motion by Marks, second by Wagner to approve the following claim: <br /> 12 D. Northwest Youth& Family Services in the amount of$2,500.00 for St. Anthony's 1996 <br /> 13 allocation. <br /> Mayor Ranallo stated he would like to speak against this claim. He indicated he would prefer to <br /> 5 see the funds be allocated to the Healthy Youth, Healthy Community Program. He noted <br /> 16 Northwest Youth&Family Services receive funds from the county. <br /> 17 Marks spoke in favor of the claim and noted he has had close association with the program in the <br /> 18 past. He stated he felt the Council should support the program but should also get some <br /> 19 representation back on the Board to keep track of what is happening in the program. If <br /> 20 something is found to be objectionable or questionable, it should be investigated. He stated he <br /> 21 felt this program was pro-active in supporting youth. <br /> 22 Voting on the Motion: <br /> 23 Aye: Faust, Marks, and Wagner. <br /> 24 Nay: Enrooth and Ranallo. <br /> 25 Motion carried. <br /> 26 Motion by Marks, second by Enrooth to approve the following claim: <br /> 27 E. 5 pages of Verified Claims as presented by the Finance Director. <br /> 28 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> • <br />
