City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> • August 13, 1996 <br /> Page 4 <br /> 1 The Council expressed their appreciation to Mayor Ranallo and his wife, Rita, for their <br /> 2 contribution to the party for the volunteers of Village Fest. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 C. Ci1y Manager. <br /> 5 City Manager Mornson reported on the Lease Agreement with Ste. Marie Company for <br /> 6 the SAV II Liquor Operation. He noted the 5 major provisions of the lease agreement <br /> 7 which are included in the Staff Report. The lease itself is quite detailed and the City <br /> 8 Manager, City Attorney and Liquor Operations Manager have studied the agreement and <br /> 9 are proposing many changes to the document. Mornson stated he is hopeful to reach an <br /> 10 agreement by August 27, 1996 Wallow the store to be operational-by January 1, 1997. <br /> 11 There was Council consensus to continue negotiations and to recommend Mayor and City <br /> 12 Manager sign the lease based on a current Staff Report and favorable advice from the <br /> 13 City Attorney at the City Council meeting on August 27, 1996. <br /> 14 Mornson noted the time of the City Council meeting on September 10, 1996 would have <br /> 15 to be changed to 8:00 P.M. due to primary elections. <br /> 16 Motion by Marks, second by Enrooth that the St. Anthony Regular City Council meeting <br /> of September 10, 1996 begin at 8:00 P.M. rather than 7:00 P.M. due to the primary <br /> election. <br /> 19 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 20 Mornson reported bids will be sent out for cleaning responsibilities of the new City <br /> 21 Hall/Community Center. <br /> 22 Mornson reported the Planning Commission will be conducting four public hearings at <br /> 23 their August 20, 1996 meeting. These will include two variance requests, the Arnie <br /> 24 Gregory project and the Chandler Place hearing. <br /> 25 Mornson noted the Comprehensive Plan Update request deadline was August 1, 1996. <br /> 26 The City received four proposals ranging between$30,000.00 to $38,000.00. The City <br /> 27 has budgeted $5,000.00 this year and$5,000.00 next year and the remaining funds will be <br /> 28 derived from HRA funds. <br /> 29 VIII. PUBLIC HEARING -None. <br /> 30 IX.
