City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> October 8, 1996 <br /> Page 2 <br /> 1 A. St. Anthony Liquor Operations in the amount of$50,000.00 for the purchase of inventory <br /> 2 control computers and related furnishings. <br /> 3 B. St. Anthony Fire Relief Association in the amount of$25,850.00 for 2% insurance <br /> 4 premium payment for fire relief. <br /> 5 C. Dorsey & Whitney in the amount of$3,082.02 for legal services rendered through August <br /> 6 31, 1996. <br /> 7 D. 3 pages of Verified Claims as presented by the Finance Director. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Councilmember Faust questioned check#2989 for Wildlife Management Services in the amount <br /> 10 of$890.00. <br /> 11 There was Council consensus to approve the 3 pages of Verified Claims subject to the <br /> 12 clarification by City Manager of the aforementioned check#2989. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 15 V11. REPORTS. <br /> 16 A. Councilmembers. <br /> 17 Councilmember Wagner reported there will be a meeting of the Healthy Community/Healthy <br /> Youth Committee on October 24, 1996 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. at the Nativity Fellowship <br /> Hall. This meeting is an effort to get the program restarted and determine a focus. It will be a <br /> 20 panel meeting with representatives from Forest Lake, Roseville and St. Louis Park in attendance <br /> 21 to discuss the projects they have done. A letter has been sent to all persons previously involved <br /> 22 with the program and the meeting will be published in the local paper and City newsletter in an <br /> 23 attempt to get more people involved. Wagner noted an effort is being made to hire a coordinator <br /> 24 as Glen Seifeld is unable to continue to be coordinator due to the time commitment. Funds are <br /> 25 available to hire a coordinator. <br /> 26 Councilmember Faust reported his attendance at the school Open House last Sunday. He stated <br /> 27 the Open House was very informative and the media center was an asset to the community. <br /> 28 Councilmember Enrooth stated he had also attended the Open House at Wilshire and was very <br /> 29 impressed with the media center. <br /> 30 Enrooth also noted his appreciation for the weekly schedule of the activities scheduled in the <br /> 31 cafeteria and gymnasium which was provided by Staff. He stated he felt this was a good method <br /> 32 to keep everyone abreast of the activities and issues regarding the scheduling. <br /> 33 City Manager Morrison stated the building activity level had increased substantially over the past <br /> 34 two years and continues to increase. The City has also recently taken on more responsibilities <br /> including scheduling of events, school elections and more police work. Morrison stated there is a <br /> need for additional Staff in this area and noted this would be a topic at a future work session. <br /> 37 <br />
