City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> July 8, 1997 <br /> 0 Page 12 <br /> 1 Mornson reported he has been contacted by Hey Co., an interior design construction company, <br /> 2 who was hired by Sunset Cemetery to construct a funeral home across from the golf course. <br /> 3 The Cemetery is located in an area zoned single-family residential. Staff is determining <br /> 4 whether this needs to be rezoned or requires a change to the district. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 VIII. PUBLIC HEARINGS - None. <br /> 7 IX. NEW BUSINESS. <br /> 8 A. Appointment of Parks Task Force Members. <br /> 9 Mornson reported 13 people had applied for this task force. <br /> 10 George Marks and George Wagner volunteered to be the Council representation on the Parks <br /> 11 Task Force. <br /> 12 Motion by Marks, second by Faust to approve the appointment of Parks Task Force members <br /> 13 as recommended by Staff. <br /> 14 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 15 Mornson stated he would be including the memo dated June 24, 1997 provided by George <br /> Marks, in the mailing to newly appointed Task Force members. <br /> 17 There was Council to consensus change that memo to indicate that these are only guidelines <br /> 18 for the task force to consider. The memo will also be changed to indicate that the Task Force <br /> 19 recommendation may result in one of the proposed plans or it may result in a different plan. <br /> 20 B. Consider Contract Addition with Bob Kost of BRW. Inc. <br /> 21 Motion by Marks, second by Enrooth to approve the Contract Addition with Bob Kost of <br /> 22 BRW, Inc. in regard to the Parks Task Force. <br /> 23 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 24 C.. Consider Feasibility Study for Sidewalk Improvements to St. Anthony Boulevard. <br /> 25 Motion by Marks, second by Enrooth to table consideration of a feasibility study for sidewalk <br /> 26 improvements to St. Anthony Boulevard. <br /> 27 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 28 Mornson noted that the Assessment Policy and the Ordinance related to this issue were <br /> 29 inconsistent and that he may propose a change at a future meeting. <br /> 30 <br /> • <br />
