'r <br /> City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> August 12, 1997 <br /> • Page 2 <br /> 1 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 2 Motion by Wagner, second by Faust to approve the following permit: <br /> 3 Temporary 3.2 Beer Permit: <br /> 4 Central Park, August 21, 1997/Nationwide Paper (applicant Douglas Parker) <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Vote on the motion: Ranallo, Faust, Enrooth and Wagner voted aye. Marks voted naye. <br /> 7 Motion carried. <br /> 8 VI. PRESENTATION OF CLAIMS. <br /> 9 Motion by Marks, second by Wagner to approve the following claims: <br /> 10 <br /> 11 A. Dorsey & Whitney in the amount of$982.70 for legal services rendered through June <br /> 12 30, 1997. <br /> 13 B. Foster, Ojile, Wentzell & Brever in the amount of$3,000.00 for professional services <br /> 14 for August 1997. <br /> 15 C. Northdale Construction in the amount of$167.183.58 for Payment Application #2 in <br /> regard to 1997 Watermain, Street and Storm Sewer Improvements. <br /> D. 7 pages of Verified Claims as presented by the Finance Director. <br /> 18 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 19 VII. REPORTS. <br /> 20 B. Councilmembers. <br /> 21 Councilmember Wagner reported his attendance at a St. Anthony Merchants Association <br /> 22 Meeting. Their annual fair will be held on Saturday, August 16, 1997, and will include <br /> 23 kiddie rides and drawings. The Association also voted to move their lunch meetings from the <br /> 24 Stonehouse to the Great Dragon. Wagner noted that the Great Dragon is a member of the <br /> 25 Association. <br /> 26 Wagner noted a pin he was wearing for the ACTION group (previously known as the Healthy <br /> 27 Youth/Healthy Community group). He reported that over twenty people of this group walked <br /> 28 in the VillageFest parade and distributed buttons and t-shirts. There appeared to be a lot of <br /> 29 response and respect generated there. This group is working with the schools in St. Anthony <br /> 30 to distribute the ACTION materials. They are also sending a letter to the City to request the <br /> 31 funds the City has previously offered to donate. <br /> 32 Wagner reported his recent attendance at Trillium Park, where the Gardeners Club was <br /> 33 working to clean up. He noted there was more vandalism in the park. Three of the water <br /> VCheads were unscrewed and thrown to the side of the road. Also the letters from the bulletin <br /> board, that is provided by the Kiwanis, were torn off and broken. Upon speaking with the <br />
