REPORTS. <br /> 15 A. Planning Commission - November 18, 1997. <br /> 16 1. St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 2420 St. Anthony Blvd., Conditional <br /> 17 Use Permit. <br /> 18 Planning Commissioner George Thompson was present to report on the issues addressed at the <br /> VNovember 18, 1997, Planning Commission meeting. <br /> 20 Commissioner Thompson reported that on November 18, 1997, the Planning Commission held <br /> 21 a public hearing to consider a conditional use permit request for St. Charles Borromeo <br /> 22 Catholic Church. Gerald De Zelar, architect for St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, was <br /> 23 present at that meeting and displayed drawings of the site plan, floor plan and the elevations <br /> 24 of the proposed addition. He explained that the desire of St. Charles is to construct an <br /> 25 addition to the church of a fellowship hall of 12,000 square feet to be located between the <br /> 26 existing church and the existing chapel. The addition will be tucked into the property and <br /> 27 will result in little imposition to the neighborhood. This issue had been discussed by the <br /> 28 Planning Commission on two previous occasions. After further discussion, the public hearing <br /> 29 was closed at 7:30 p.m. <br /> 30 There was a motion made by Chair Bergstrom, seconded by Commissioner Franzese to <br /> 31 recommend approval of the conditional use permit request for St. Charles Borromeo Catholic <br /> 32 Church based on: <br /> 33 a. The proposed conditional use is specifically listed for the zoning district in which the <br /> 34 property is located; <br /> 35 b. The proposed conditional use will not be detrimental to the health, safety, or general <br /> 36 welfare of persons residing or working in the vicinity or to the values of property in <br /> 37 the vicinity; and <br /> 0 C. The proposed conditional use is necessary and desirable at the above location; <br /> 39 and subject to the following conditions: <br />
