Marks voted naye. <br /> 4 Motion carried. <br /> 5 VI. PRESENTATION OF CLAIMS. <br /> 6 Motion by Marks, second by Faust to approve the following claims: <br /> 7 A. Insurance Payment: <br /> 8 1. League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust in the amount of$3,686.12 for Claim <br /> 9 No. 11016304, date of loss 11/30/96. <br /> 10 B. Capital Equipment/Squad Cars (3): <br /> 11 1. Superior Ford in the amount of$59,454.00 for three squad cars. <br /> 12 C. Storm Water/Flood Analysis: <br /> 13 1. WSB &Associates. Inc. <br /> 14 a. In the amount of$1,260.50 for professional services rendered April 1, <br /> 15 1998 though April 30, 1998 for Flood Problem Area Analysis. <br /> b. In the amount of$1,992.50 for professional services rendered April 1, <br /> 0 1998 though April 30, 1998 for Storm Drainage Task Force. <br /> 18 C. In the amount of$883.18 for professional services rendered April 1, 1998 <br /> 19 through April 30, 1998 for Sump Pump Inspection Program. <br /> 20 D. 4 pages of Verified Claims as presented by the Finance Director. <br /> 21 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 22 VII. REPORTS. <br /> 23 A. Update on Safety Fair by Mickey Morris. <br /> 24 Mickey Morris reported that the Safety Fair which was held on March 21, 1998 in the <br /> 25 Community Center gymnasium went well. There were 15 presenters and an estimated 100-150 <br /> 26 people attended the event. Mr. Morris noted that there was a Children's Theater held at the <br /> 27 Community Center the following weekend and questioned if there would have been better <br /> 28 attendance if the two events had been held simultaneously. <br /> 29 Mr. Morris displayed a book which contained notes and pictures from the Safety Fair project. He <br /> 30 explained that he was now on his way to obtain the final signature on his Eagle Scout <br /> 31 Application which will be presented to the District and he will then have his Board of Review. <br /> 32 Cavanaugh noted that he had attended the Safety Fair and complimented Mr. Morris on the job <br /> that he did, his leadership qualities and stated the Council was proud of him. There was a <br /> 46 tremendous enthusiasm in all the fellow scouts and they were very pro-active. <br />
