Resolution 98-053, re: Award Bid for Rehabilitation of Elevated Water Stora eg� Tank. <br /> 5 Motion by Faust, second by Thuesen to approve Resolution 98-053, awarding bid for <br /> 6 rehabilitation and recoating of existing water storage tank to V.E Gray and Son Contracting, Inc. <br /> 7 in the amount of$166,642.00. <br /> 8 Richard C. Potts, Rieke Carroll Muller Associates, Inc., reported that five bids were received for <br /> 9 the rehabilitation and recoating inside and out, of the water tower storage tank. He noted he has <br /> 10 also included a contingency cost for crack filler of 1/8 inch or more for an estimated 100 feet and <br /> 11 a unit price for welding. The total contingency amount may or may not be used. The anticipated <br /> 12 total project cost is $194,142. <br /> 13 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 14 C. Resolution 98-054, re: Award Bid for Replacement of Underground Fuel Tanks. <br /> Motion by Marks, second by Cavanaugh to approve Resolution 98-054, awarding bid for <br /> 016 replacement of existing underground fuel tanks to Ceres Environmental with a base bid of <br /> 17 $71,470.00 and options B, C, D, and E with a bid of$13,650.00. <br /> 18 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 19 D. Ordinance 1998-011, re: Cable TV Renewed Franchise (Waive 1St and 2nd Reading <br /> 20 Ado t). <br /> 21 Motion by Marks, second by Thuesen to waive the 1 St and 2nd readings and approve the 31 <br /> 22 reading and adoption of Ordinance 1998-011, granting a franchise to MediaOne to construct, <br /> 23 operate, and maintain a cable communications system in the City of St. Anthony; setting forth <br /> 24 conditions accompanying the grant of the franchise. <br /> 25 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 26 E. Removal of Geese. <br /> 27 Mayor Ranallo reported that Councilmember Cavanaugh had received a telephone call from the <br /> 28 Salvation Army Camp complaining of a problem with geese and the City has received a letter <br /> 29 dated June 23, 1998 requesting assistance with removal of the geese. Mayor Ranallo explained <br /> 30 that this is the time of year when goslings can be moved safely. <br /> Motion by Marks, second by Faust to authorize an amount not to exceed $400 for the next three <br /> 10 years to assist in the removal of geese from the Silver Lake Camp. <br />
