REPORTS. <br /> 17 <br /> 8 A. Presentation of Appreciation Plaques to George Thompson and George Wagner. <br /> Ranallo welcomed George Thompson and presented a plaque to him in appreciation for 7 years <br /> 20 of service on the Planning Commission. Ranallo added that George Wagner, also a former <br /> 21 Planning Commissioner, was unable to attend the meeting to receive his plaque of appreciation. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 Mr. Thompson accepted his plaque of appreciation, expressing his pleasure at serving on the <br /> 24 Commission. He stated he hopes the Council will continue its efforts on behalf of the <br /> 25 community on projects such as Apache Plaza and the Silver Lake Road Bridge project. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 B. Planning Commission Meeting - December 15, 1998. <br /> 28 Ranallo welcomed Planning Commissioner Chris Makowske and invited him to address the <br /> 29 Council. Makowske reviewed the Commission's December 15, 1998 meeting, at which <br /> 30 amendments to the storm water management ordinance were discussed,particularly Section <br /> 31 1675.08, Subdivision 17 pertaining to lawn fertilizer education. He discussed the changes <br /> 32 recommended by the Commission for that section. Ranallo confirmed that the language in the <br /> 33 ordinance had been amended to reflect the Commission's comments. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Cavanaugh expressed his thanks to the Planning Commission for their assistance with the <br /> 36 proposed ordinance. Thuesen added his thanks, stating the Commission's efforts were <br /> 37 appreciated. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 Makowske stated the Commission also discussed goals and priorities for 1999 and plan to <br /> continue the discussion at their next meeting at which 2 new Commissioners will be in <br /> 1 attendance. <br />
