City Council Meeting Minutes <br /> February 9, 1999 <br /> • Page 13 <br /> 1 <br /> 2 Motion by Faust, second by Thuesen to table Resolution 99-021. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 Voting on the motion: Ranallo, Marks and Cavanaugh voted nay. Faust and Thuesen voted aye. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Motion denied. <br /> 7 <br /> 8` Faust stated the feasibility study will not indicate whether the homeowners will be willing to sell <br /> 9 their property, and to achieve adequate storage it would be necessary to purchase either 4 or 6 <br /> 10 homes. Ranallo requested that the homeowners involved contact City Manager Momson to <br /> 11 indicate whether they are willing to sell, adding the City will give sellers fair market value based <br /> 12 on the higher of 2 appraisals. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 Marks stated the purpose of the feasibility study is to review the last available solution with <br /> 15 respect to Silver Point Park, and it might be regrettable in the future to bypass this option. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 Motion by Marks, second by Cavanaugh to approve Resolution 99-021, authorizing WSB & <br /> Associates, Inc. to prepare a feasibility study relating to Silver Point Park. <br /> 20 Voting on the motion: Faust and Thuesen voted nay. Ranallo, Marks and Cavanaugh voted aye. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Motion carried. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 C. Resolution 99-022, re: Funding for Y2K. <br /> 25 Cavanaugh asked whether a budget for Y2K had been considered. Momson confirmed this. <br /> 26 Thuesen asked whether an anticipated cost for Y2K had been estimated. Ranallo stated a <br /> 27 specific cost would be impossible to determine. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Motion by Cavanaugh, second by Marks to approve Resolution 99-022, setting funding for Year <br /> 30 2000 (Y2K) expenditures and upgrades. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 D. Ordinance 1999-001, re: Adopt Minnesota State Building? Code/Amend Fee Schedule (1st <br /> 35 reading). <br /> 36 Cavanaugh asked whether the City intends to adopt a building code which would provide <br /> 37 sufficient fire protection for single family homes.
