City Council Meeting Minutes <br /> April 13, 1999 <br /> • Page 8 <br /> t Ranallo reviewed a letter he received from the Salvation Army Camp Director which notes that <br /> 2 the camp is not yet on the market and the Camp is negotiating with a real estate firm to provide <br /> 3 representation in all negotiations. He added he will keep the Council informed of all <br /> 4 developments. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 I. City Manager. <br /> 7 Mornson reminded the Councilmembers of the League of Minnesota Cities' Annual Meeting to <br /> 8 be held in Rochester, June 15-18, 1999, adding that there will not be a Council meeting held that <br /> 9 week. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 Mornson stated that the City had received 2 applications for the Planning Commission opening <br /> 12 for which the deadline was Friday, April 8, 1999. He stated the Council could meet prior to its <br /> 13 regular meeting on April 27, 1999 to discuss the applicants. It was agreed the Council would <br /> 14 meet at 6:30 PM on April 27, 1999 for a work session, or earlier if more applicants were to <br /> 15 apply. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 Mornson stated there are some possible vacancies on the Parks Commission which are still under <br /> 8 discussion, adding this could be discussed at the Council's joint work session with the Parks <br /> Commission on June 1, 1999. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 Mornson stated that City staff are preparing an RFP for consultants to design a new public works <br /> 22 facility, and consultants will be recommended to the Council for this project. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 Mornson stated that bids for the water filtration plant repair work will be presented at the <br /> 25 Council's next meeting, adding the majority of the work will be paid by state grant. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 VIII. PUBLIC HEARINGS -None. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 IX. NEW BUSINESS. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 A. Resolution 99-027, re: Change Order relating to Silver Point Park Project(WSB, Inca <br /> 32 Ranallo welcomed Todd Hubmer, WSB, Inc., and invited him to address the Council. Mr. <br /> 33 Hubmer reviewed recent progress in Silver Point Park's construction including Roselle Drive <br /> 34 and the parking lot. He stated that the change order in question relates to subgrade work and soil <br /> 35 correction in those areas. <br /> 36 <br /> 37 Motion by Marks, second by Thuesen to approve Resolution 99-027, approving Change Order <br /> 38 No. 2 for the Silver Point Park Storm Water Improvement Project. <br /> 39 <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 1 <br />
