Regular City Council Meeting Minutes, December 16, 1999 <br /> 2 Motion by Sparks to approve the Consent Agenda for the January 11, 2000 Regular City Council <br /> 3 Meeting. <br /> 4 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 5 In considering the approval of the December 16, 1999 Truth in Taxation Hearing Minutes, and <br /> 6 the Regular City Council Meeting Minutes of December 16,_1999, Cavanaugh suggested-that <br /> 7 those Councilmembers not in attendance at that meeting abstain from voting. <br /> 8 Motion by Thuesen, second by Cavanaugh, to approve the Truth in Taxation Hearing Minutes <br /> 9 from December 16, 1999. <br /> 10 Voting on the Motion: Thuesen, Cavanaugh voted aye. Sparks, Horst abstained. <br /> 11 The motion carried. <br /> 12 Motion by Thuesen, second by Cavanaugh, to approve the Regular City Council Meeting <br /> Minutes from December 16, 1999. <br /> 14 Voting; on the Motion: Thuesen, Cavanaugh voted aye. Sparks, Horst abstained. <br /> 15 The motion carried. <br /> 16 VII. PUBLIC HEARINGS. <br /> 17 None. <br /> 18 VIII. GENERAL POLICY BUSINESS OF THE COUNCIL. <br /> 19 A. Set Date and Time for Board of Review. <br /> 20 City Manager Michael Mornson explained that the City is required by law to annually set a date <br /> 21 for the local Board of Review. After discussions with the Assessor's office, Morrison would rec- <br /> 22 ommend that the Board of Review take place at the regular Council meeting on April 11, 2000 at <br /> 23 7:00 p.m. Additionally, the Assessor is scheduled to attend the March 14, 2000 Council meeting <br /> 24 in order to provide the Council with a brief synopsis as well as a booklet of sales ratios for the <br /> 25 area. <br /> 26 Horst inquired if the Board of Review meeting would be suitable for a worksession. Morrison re- <br /> 27 sponded that the Board of Review meeting in prior years was not on cable television, and he an- <br /> 28 ticipated that this was a good opportunity to televise the meeting in conjunction with the regular <br /> Council meeting. <br />
