t CITY OF ST. ANTHONY CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES 3 APRIL 11, 2000 4 I. CALL TO ORDER. 5 Mayor Cavanaugh called the meeting to order at 7:16 p.m. 6 II. ROLL-CALL. 7 Councilmembers present: Mayor Cavanaugh; Councilmembers Sparks, Horst, and Hodson 8 Councilmembers absent: Brian Thuesen 9 Also present: Michael Momson, City Manager; William Soth, City Attorney. 1 o III. APPROVAL OF APRIL 11, 2000 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING AGENDA. I 1 Motion by Horst to approve the April 11, 2000 City Council Regular Meeting Agenda with the 12 following addition: 1.3 XI., A.,1. Nativity Lutheran Church for 3312 Silver Lake Road, setback vari- 14 ance request, and consideration of Resolution 00-030, a Resolution 15 Relating to 3312 Silver Lake Road Variance Request. 16 Motion carried unanimously. 407 IV. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. 18 A. Proclamation Declaring Volunteer Recognition Week. 19 Mayor Cavanaugh reviewed for the Council and the audience the purpose of the proposed Proc- 20 lamation. He reviewed the Proclamation which stated, in part, that individuals and groups 21 serving as volunteers have enriched the life of the community, impacted the community through 22 service to others, and that volunteers of all ages and from all backgrounds are stepping forward to 23 meet and solve the increasingly complex problems in the community. The City felt that recogni- 24 tion should be given to volunteers involved in all contributions which serve their fellow citizens 25 and communities. 26 Motion by Sparks to approve the Proclamation wherein Dennis Cavanaugh, Mayor of the City of 27 St. Anthony, and on behalf of the St. Anthony City Council, does hereby proclaim the week of 28 April 9-15, 2000 to be Volunteer Recognition Week in St. Anthony Village. As we continue to 29 face the challenges and opportunities of our society, all citizens of the City are called to sustain 30 and increase St. Anthony's voluntary spirit now and for the future. Together we can serve the 31 City and serve it well. 32 Motion carried unanimously. 33 In addition, Cavanaugh announced that a Volunteer Appreciation Dinner would be held on April 28, 2000, and he stated that it was.a wonderful opportunity for the City to thank the many volun- teers.
