City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> • November 28, 2000 <br /> Page 6 <br /> t Sparks noted that the City is still in the process of deciding whether to contribute to the North- <br /> 2 west Youth and Family Services. <br /> 3 Cavanaugh stated that he would be meeting with the Executive Director this week(of Northwest <br /> 4 Youth and Family Services), and he would have additional information after that meeting and <br /> 5 would report back to the City. <br /> 6 Thuesen inquired if there were other sources to cover the needs of the City that the Northwest <br /> 7 Youth and Family Services offers. Thuesen noted he would like.to hear a presentation.from the <br /> 8 organization. <br /> 9 Cavanaugh thanked the Councilmembers for attending the SmartGrowth event with the Metro- <br /> 10 politan Council. <br /> I l Horst noted that he felt that Mayor Cavanaugh did an excellent job in addressing the public and <br /> 12 the Metropolitan Council. <br /> 13 Cavanaugh reported that in the Councilmembers' mail, there is a proposed outline for the annual <br /> retreat. Two dates (January 18 and January 19) have been chosen, and he would request that the <br /> 05 Councilmembers report back with their feedback. <br /> 16 Discussion ensured regarding whether or not to have a facilitator. Morrison noted that in one-on- <br /> 17 one meetings with the Councilmembers, four out of five preferred having a facilitator. Morrison <br /> 18 noted that it has been shown to be beneficial in the past to have the same facilitator two years in a <br /> 19 row. <br /> 20 XII. INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> 21 None. <br /> 22 XIII.
