LaNel had asked that <br /> 25 they be permitted to install directional signs at Autumn <br /> 26 Woods larger than allowed by ordinance . Brownell report--,I <br /> 27 that the Planning Commission voted to table the request <br /> 28 pending presentation of additional information regarding the <br /> 29 layout and description of each directional sign and a <br /> 30 diagram of the monument sign to be placed at the mains ._ <br /> 31 entrance . Paul Brewer of LaNel had agreed to provide slick <br /> 32 information at the December 1989 Planning Commission <br /> 33 meeting . No action required by City Council regarding this <br /> 34 request . <br /> 35 <br /> 36 <br /> 37 TAXATION/REFUSE <br /> 38 <br /> 39 Mayor Pro Tem Ranallo introduced City Manager Tom Burt an(, <br /> 40 asked him to explain the pending taxation issue , and invited <br /> 41. questions from the public . <br /> 42 <br /> 43 City Manager Burt explained that the state legislature vott&d <br /> 44 to shift local government aid, which is comprised of stake <br /> 45 income tax and sales tax. He stated that St . Anthony has <br /> 46 been dependent upon local government aid to the extent of <br /> 47 approximately $228 , 000 per year in the past , which is not <br /> 48 large compared to other communities . Local government aid <br /> 49 will now be shifted to the school districts in anticipation • <br /> 50 that the State will fully fund school districts in the <br />
