ANTHONY <br /> ORDNANCE 1991-006 <br /> ANT ORDINA_\CE RELATING TO A MORATORIUM ON ISSUANCE <br /> OF PERMITS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF NEW BUILDINGS AND CERTAIN <br /> ALTERATIONS IN A DEFLN ED AREA NORTH OF KENZIE TERRACE <br /> AND SOUTH OF ST. ANTHONY BOULEVARD; AMENDL\G THE <br /> 1973 CODE OF ORDL�-ANCES BY ADDL\G A NEW SECTION° 360 <br /> The City Council of the City of St. Anthony ordains: <br /> Section 1. The 1973 Code of Ordinances is amended to add a new Section 360 <br /> to read as follows: <br /> Section 360 Moratorium Ordinances <br /> Section 360:10. Purpose. The St. Anthony City Council believes that certain <br /> inconsistencies may exist between existing land uses in the City and the City's <br /> Comprehensive Plan. The Council further_believes that it may be appropriate <br /> to make certain changes in the City's Comprehensive Plan and in the zoning <br /> classifications of certain properties or areas within the City pursuant to a <br /> modified Comprehensive Plan. To this end, the Council has found that it is <br /> desirable to revieNti• and study portions of the City's Comprehensive Plan and <br /> Zoning Ordinances to determine if any changes or amendments should be <br /> made to them and to the land uses permitted thereunder. <br /> Section 360:20. Citv Studies. The City Council hereby authorizes and directs <br /> the City Staff and the Planning Commission to conduct studies of applicable <br /> provisions of the City's Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinances, and <br /> give 'to information and recommendations to the City Council relative to the <br /> need and desirability, if any, for amending the City's Comprehensive Plan <br /> and Zoning Ordinances ivA respect to certain property within the City as <br /> hereinafter described. <br /> Section 360:30. Authorization of -Moratorium. In order to protect the <br /> planning process and the opportunity of the City to conduct the studies <br /> referred to in this Section 360, and for the protection of the health, safety and <br /> welfare of the citizens of St. Anthony, it is necessary and desirable to impose <br /> the following moratorium pursuant to the authority granted by Minnesota <br /> Statutes, Section 462.353, Subd. 4. <br />
