PRESENTATION OF CLAIMS. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Motion by Marks, second by Fleming to approve the following claims: <br /> 10 <br /> 11 A. Hennepin County in the amount of$25,579.36 for services rendered by the <br /> 12 County Assessor under contract. <br /> 13 B. Barr Engineering Company in the amount of$185.00 for professional services <br /> 14 rendered regarding 3300 Belden Drive. <br /> 15 C. Midwest Asphalt. Inc. in the amount of$162,840.05 for services relative to the <br /> 16 1994 Street and Watermain Improvements. <br /> 17 D. Verified claims, 4 pages, as submitted by the Finance Director. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Motion carried unanimously. • <br /> 20 <br /> 21 VII. REPORTS. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 A. Mayor. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 1. Economic Development/Redevelopment Task Force Final Report, There <br /> 26 were three members present from the Task Force, Brad Bjorklund, to <br /> 27 present the report, John Madden, to assist Mr. Bjorklund, if needed, and <br /> 28 Ted Holsten, who informed the Council that Edward Hance, who is <br /> 29 President of the.Task Force, is in the hospital. Councilmembers <br /> 30 expressed their concern for Mr. Hance and their hope that his health <br /> 31 would improve soon. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 Mr. Bjorklund gave an overview of the background of the Task Force, <br /> 34 indicating there were 15 members from all areas of the City, <br /> 35 representing government, churches, schools, businesses, and individuals. <br /> 36 Bjorklund described the mission statement of the Task Force - to identify <br /> 37 properties or areas that could benefit from development and to <br /> 38 recommend options for improving those areas. In so doing, the Task <br /> 39 Force considered the following criteria: well kept surroundings; safe and <br /> 40 cohesive neighborhoods; a vital and compatible business community; • <br /> 41 market value enhancement; and the impact on School District /#282. <br />
