DESCRIPTION OF 1998 RECYCLING PROGRAM: <br /> A. SERVICE DESCRIPTION <br /> SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCES: curbside pick-up and drop off of listed <br /> items collected. <br /> MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENCES: ordinance requires owner/manager to <br /> provide recycling opportunities to tenants. <br /> CONDOMINIUM RESIDENCES: same as Multi-family Residences. <br /> MANUFACTURED HOME PARKS: same as Single Family Residences. <br /> St. Anthony has one mobile home park. <br /> NAME OF COLLECTOR(S): FBI-Woodlake, Waste Management, Twin • <br /> City Sanitation, Larry's Quality Sanitation, Nitti Disposal, Walter's Rubbish. <br /> ITEMS COLLECTED FOR RECYCLING: Newspapers, glass, plastic <br /> bottles, aluminum, tin cans, corrugated cardboard, magazines, and telephone <br /> books. <br /> B. DESCRIBE THE LONG TERM SOURCE(S) OF FUNDING FOR <br /> RECYCLING SERVICES: The City's hauler licensing ordinance requires <br /> residential haulers to provide curbside recycling services to all their residential <br /> customers at no cost to the City. The City receives 80% in funding assistance for <br /> public education drop-off, collection, administration, etc. for the Hennepin <br /> P � P P <br /> County portion of the .City. .The City's General Fund reserves are allocated for the <br /> drop-off center, public education, and administration'. The Spring Clean-Up Day is <br /> funded through user fees. <br /> C. DESCRIBE CHANGES TO THE PROGRAM 1998: None anticipated at <br /> this time. <br /> 2. HOW DO YOU PROPOSE TO USE SCORE FUNDING GRANT FUNDS? <br /> PLEASE DESCRIBE HOW A SCORE FUNDING GRANT WOULD <br /> ENHANCE/IMPROVE RECYCLING EFFORTS IN YOUR COMMUNITY • <br /> (PLEASE BE VERY SPECIFIC, AND INCLUDE MEASURABLE GOALS AND <br /> ANY PROGRAM CHANGES FOR 1998). <br /> The City of St. Anthony proposes to use SCORE Funds to maintain and increase <br /> participation and tonnage collected.
