MEMORANDUM DATE: September 16, 1998 TO: Michael J. Morrison, City Manager FROM: Kuri Moore-Sykes, Management Assistan ITEM: September 14' Planning Commission Meeting Summary The Planning Commission Meeting started.at 8:00 p.m. because of the primary elections. 1. Planning Commission Representative. Doug Bergstrom will be the Planning Commission Representative to the Council at the September 22' Council meeting. 2. Public Hearings. A. None. 3. Report from the Parks Commission. Vice-Chair.Koehntop-reported-to-the Planning-Commission-about`the plans for the Silver Point Park project. He indicated that the Park Commissioners were very supportive of WSB's plan for the Park and that they are anxious to get the project started. 4. Planning Commissioner Appointment. A hearty welcome was given to George Wagner by the Commissioners. They voiced their appreciation to the Council for appointing him to complete Mr. Delmonico's term. 5. Planning Proposal from Richard Krier. Mr. Krier presented his proposal to the Commissioners and explained that he will help them with the "What" question pertinent to this site. The Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend to the Council that . the Krier proposal be accepted. 6. Storm Water Management Ordinance Review. The Commissioners unanimously voted to recommend the approval of the Storm Water Management Ordinance with the attached revisions and suggestions. They wanted WSB to review their proposed changes associated with their proposed amendments. 5. Comments. 1. Chair Bergstrom advised the Planning Commission that Commissioner Gondorchin has missed four meetings and if he wants to continue to sit on the Planning Commission, by Ordinance he needs to submit this desire in writing to the City Council. The Planning Commission unanimously approved a motion by Bergstrom, second by Wagner to express continued support for Commissioner Gondorchin and recommended to the City Council that he be allowed to continue on the Planning Commission; that his absences were known. in advance and communicated to the Chair and Staff; and that these absences were required due to work-related issues. 6. Adjourned at 10:15 p.m.
