MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: September 16, 1998 <br /> TO: Michael J. Morrison, City Manager <br /> FROM: Kuri Moore-Sykes, Management Assistan <br /> ITEM: September 14' Planning Commission Meeting Summary <br /> The Planning Commission Meeting started.at 8:00 p.m. because of the primary elections. <br /> 1. Planning Commission Representative. Doug Bergstrom will be the Planning Commission <br /> Representative to the Council at the September 22' Council meeting. <br /> 2. Public Hearings. <br /> A. None. <br /> 3. Report from the Parks Commission. <br /> Vice-Chair.Koehntop-reported-to-the Planning-Commission-about`the plans for the Silver <br /> Point Park project. He indicated that the Park Commissioners were very supportive of <br /> WSB's plan for the Park and that they are anxious to get the project started. <br /> 4. Planning Commissioner Appointment. A hearty welcome was given to George Wagner by <br /> the Commissioners. They voiced their appreciation to the Council for appointing him to <br /> complete Mr. Delmonico's term. <br /> 5. Planning Proposal from Richard Krier. Mr. Krier presented his proposal to the <br /> Commissioners and explained that he will help them with the "What" question pertinent to <br /> this site. The Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend to the Council that . <br /> the Krier proposal be accepted. <br /> 6. Storm Water Management Ordinance Review. <br /> The Commissioners unanimously voted to recommend the approval of the Storm Water <br /> Management Ordinance with the attached revisions and suggestions. They wanted WSB to <br /> review their proposed changes associated with their proposed amendments. <br /> 5. Comments. <br /> 1. Chair Bergstrom advised the Planning Commission that Commissioner Gondorchin has <br /> missed four meetings and if he wants to continue to sit on the Planning Commission, by <br /> Ordinance he needs to submit this desire in writing to the City Council. The Planning <br /> Commission unanimously approved a motion by Bergstrom, second by Wagner to express <br /> continued support for Commissioner Gondorchin and recommended to the City Council <br /> that he be allowed to continue on the Planning Commission; that his absences were known. <br /> in advance and communicated to the Chair and Staff; and that these absences were <br /> required due to work-related issues. <br /> 6. Adjourned at 10:15 p.m. <br />
