These issues are: • What to do with the KA property. • How to reinforce the shopping center sales in light of the recently open Quarry. • What to do with the office service-area near Lowry Avenue. • How to generate money to create streetscape improvements that will make the shopping area more attractive. What Y would suggest is that'I spend a 21/2-hour working session with the HRA and Planning Commission. With a little preparation on my part,that is all of the time it will take for us(TSLk Planning Commission and myself)to formulate a redevelopment strategy for the area. This strategy. would consist'of the following: • Develop a realistic use for the KA property including the expected use,the economic value it will generate for the City, and a list of possible developers who have a successful redevelopment track record. • Strategically position the shopping center to account for the recently opened Quarry. • Develop a realistic use for the triangle near Lowry Avenue,including the use the value generated and the of list of developers who can successfully complete the task • Create a source to finance streetscape and parking lot improvements, As you may recall X have knowledge of the Kenzie Terrace area and T have extensive experience working on several redevelopment projects in the recent past.I have enclosed my resume and a list of economic development and redevelopment projects,
