The Chief indicated that there are enough controls in place to deal with code <br /> enforcement issues. He feels that controls should be use to control the situation and <br /> indicated that they can be abused; that they are used when it is required to keep a situation <br /> under control. <br /> 8.. Proposed Political Sign Ordinance Revisions. The Fire Chief answered questions <br /> regarding the issue of political signs in the right-of-way. Motion by Wagner, seconded by <br /> Kaczor to recommend approval of the proposed revisions to the political sign ordinance. <br /> Motion approved. <br /> 9. Planning Commission Terms. Staff reminded those Commissioners whose terms are up to <br /> submit their letter to reapply to the Commission to the City Manager. <br /> 10. 1999 Planning Commission Goals and Priorities. Chair Bergstrom asked the <br /> Commissioners to compile a list of goals and priorities for discussion at the December <br /> meeting. <br /> Comments. <br /> Feedback on the Krier planning session was generally favorable. Most Commissioners <br /> were surprised that the retention of a retail use for the area was a foregone conclusion on <br /> the part of Mr. Krier. There was an expectation of a discussion of other possible uses. <br /> Parking signs along 33`d Avenue NE are somewhat confusing. Commissioner Kaczor <br /> asked that Staff review the situation in light of the fact that there is a proposed park being <br /> sited there and it is not clear if parking is allowed or not. <br /> Adjourned at 9:15p.m. <br /> • <br />
