31 <br /> APPLICATION PROCESS <br /> TO FILL COUNCIL VACANCY <br /> 1. Notify public of the opening (Ad will be in three local newspapers, Cable TV and <br /> Kiwanis Board). <br /> 2. Interested candidates will complete the attached Application Form. <br /> 3. The application deadline will be Tuesday, January 25, 2000 at 4.:30 PM. <br /> 4. All candidates' names will be forwarded to the City Council at the January 25, 2000 <br /> Council meeting. <br /> 5. Council will interview each candidate on Tuesday, February 1, 2000. Interviews will <br /> begin at 6:00 PM and each interview will last approximately 15 minutes. <br /> 6. A Special Council Meeting will be called for February 1, 2000 to vote on appointment. <br />
