Specific uses for the Salvation Army property include interpretive education <br /> facilities and programs, trails, natural resources initiatives in the areas of wildlife, forestry, water <br /> quality management as well as the preservation of open space. <br /> The Park District and Salvation Army have entered into an agreement (attached) pursuant to the <br /> above which is subject to consent by the City of St. Anthony. - <br /> Representatives from the Park District and Salvation Army will be present at the August 14th <br /> City Council Meeting to answer questions about this proposal. Acquisition cannot be finalized <br /> without the consent from the City of St. Anthony City Council. Should approval by the City of <br /> St. Anthony not occur by August 30, 2001, either the Salvation Army or Park District may <br /> terminate the agreement without penalty. <br /> If you have any questions on the proposal, contact me at 763/559-6748.
