RESOLUTION 80-019 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTICIPA- <br /> TION IN THE HENNEPIN COUNTY CRIMINAL <br /> JUSTICE COORDINATING COUNCIL (HCCJCC) <br /> i <br /> WHEREAS, the Justice System Improvement Act of 1979 (JSIA) reauthorizes <br /> and restructures the LEAA Federal Grant-In-Aid Program to state and i! <br /> local units of government; and <br /> WHEREAS , certain units of local general government are eligible <br /> individually or in combination to function under the JSIA as en- <br /> titlement jurisdictions and in that status enjoy significant auton- <br /> omy with respect to the utilization of a pre-determined allocation <br /> of federal funding; and <br /> WHEREAS, units of government within the State of Minnesota must i <br /> formally advise the Minnesota Crime Patrol Planning Board of their i <br /> intentions regarding participation in the JSIA no later than March <br /> 10, 1980; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED that the City of St. Anthony formally declares its <br /> intention to participate in the JSIA as a member of the Hennepin <br /> County Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (HCCJCC) under a joint <br /> Hennepin County, City of Minneapolis and suburban unit of govern- <br /> ment combination entitlement jurisdiction; and 1 <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in the event the Minnesota Crime Control <br /> Planning Board proposes an alternative to entitlement jurisdiction <br /> status which maintains the integrity of pre-determined funding al- <br /> locations and provides for the maintenance of ,cooperative inter- <br /> governmental planning and coordination as embodied in the HCCJCC, <br /> such a proposal will be considered by the City of St. Anthony at <br /> that time. <br /> i <br /> i� <br /> Adopted this day of — 1980 . <br /> Mayor <br /> • f <br /> ATTEST: �J�i✓ = �,�` ; �..�rtJ <br /> City Clerk ! j <br /> (� f <br /> I <br /> Reviewed for Administration: _ ' -�-`— <br /> Cit anager <br />
